Weird winter

I’ve spent most of the winter fretting about my outdoor plants but unsure what to do. It has been super-dry, and super-warm, like nothing I’ve ever experienced here. Do my bushes and trees need water? Will too much make them break dormancy early and then die in an early-spring freeze? What will become of my one million winter-sown seeds?

On Friday we got a decent, wet snowstorm, and lots of snow is still sitting on the ground as of today, Sunday. But by the end of the week it’s supposed to be nearly 80. I think at that point I’ll have to assume that spring is coming early and just keep things watered.

It will be fun to shift into gardening mode soon, whatever happens with the weather!
